You can customize everything from body type and eye color to hobbies and voice, making it easy to create your ideal AI partner. The V2 image generator is one of the best we’ve seen, producing stunningly accurate and realistic images.

The app is fast, with responses under 3 seconds, even during busy times, and the realistic “thinking” pauses make conversations feel more natural. However, memory only lasts about 30 messages, so adding reminders like “Remember we’re shopping” helps maintain flow. A big downside is that you can’t edit characters once they’re created, and pre-made characters aren’t customizable.

The servers are super reliable too. Even during busy times, like weekends or evenings, the response speed stayed under 3 seconds in all our tests across seven different times during the week and weekend. It’s consistent and smooth.

One cool feature is how Candy AI adds a realistic touch. Sometimes, the AI character shows the typing icon, then it pauses for a moment before replying. It feels like they’re “thinking” about what to say, which makes conversations feel way more natural and engaging.

However, once you’ve created your AI character, you can’t go back and edit it. This makes it important to carefully think through your choices when creating your companion.

Another downside is that while Candy AI offers nearly 100 pre-made AI characters, they aren’t customizable. Customization is only available when you create a character from scratch, and there’s no way to adjust pre-existing characters later.
